Hypnotherapy, a Healing Tool for the 21st Century
Hypnotherapy is a healing tool with many more uses than losing weight and quitting smoking. The tool is definitely helpful in changing habits, but that is really the tip of the iceberg for all its many uses. With hypnosis you can: · Feel worthwhile and self-confident. · Gain a happier home life; become a better partner, parent, or friend. · Make better decisions. · Improve concentration. · Overcome procrastination. · Reduce conflict and stress. · Promote health and well-being. · Regain your natural ability to sleep easily. · Sell your ideas, and your services with confidence and enthusiasm. · Attract and maintain worthwhile friendships. · Discover your negative mental patterns and how they affect you. · Free yourself from hostility, resentment, fear of rejection. · Select your goals in life, and intend to manifest them. · Think more positively because we do create our own reality. What to expect in a Hypnotherapy Session: Hypnosis is a naturally occurring state of altered consciousness (heightened awareness) in which a person is capable of internalizing thoughts and suggestions for the purpose of manifesting desired psychological, physical and spiritual change. Contrary to popular belief, hypnosis is not sleep, nor is it being unconscious. In hypnosis, you are actually fully aware and in control while still able to access sub-conscious memories, emotions and resources. Most people hear and remember most of what is said during the session, and you will never do or say something that goes against your personal belief system. Hypnosis allows the critical factor of the conscious mind to be bypassed, and the subconscious to be directly accessed. In this state, suggestions and direction can be very effective, and changes can be made at the root of our habits, behaviors and/or limiting beliefs. Once we recognize and let go of our old stories, behaviors and unconscious beliefs about ourselves, we can tap into a new, empowered version of our Self. It really is the best kept secret: The Capacity for Change lies within us all. Hypnotherapy Sessions with Donna: In the first session, Donna will go over the basics of Hypnotherapy with you, and work with you to find the most meaningful issue for you to work on during the session. For people new to hypnotherapy, she usually begins with a brief relaxation hypnosis to see how you do with the process. When you feel comfortable and relaxed, then Donna will work on your desired issue. The first session is 90 minutes, but subsequent follow-up sessions are usually 60 minutes. Donna will also design a personal digital recording for you that you can take with you to work on your issue in between sessions. To prepare for your first session, please wear comfortable clothing, and if you wear contact lenses, you may want to take them out, or wear eyeglasses that day. It’s also wise to not drink any caffeinated beverages two hours before your session. Drinking water also seems to help with the process. The only other requirement is an open mind.
