Clara and Irving's love story began in the Roaring Twenties in a seacoast village called Onset, an Indian name which means The Sandy Landing Place on Cape Cod, Massachusetts. In its heyday, Onset was known as a summer retreat and many tourists from the surrounding states came to enjoy its amusements which included beaches, casinos, vaudeville theatres, and dance halls. Onset also hosted a Spiritualist summer camp in its early days just like Lilydale, New York.
Onset was the beginning of Clara and Irving's love story and one that lasted longer than both would ever imagine... from one lifetime to the next. In Romantic fashion, their love began in the era of the 1920's vaudeville theatre, and the theatre became a stage for their love affair in years to come.
